Bhandara District Rice Industries Association (BDRIA) represents various segments of the rice industry of Bhandara including rice millers, brokers, agents, machine manufacturers, consultants, institutions and many more. We represent the interests of our members in all matters pertaining to the processing, packing, quality assurance and food safety and marketing of rice and its by- products.
Our association is determined to create opportunities and extend all assistance, especially to farmers and millers, to ensure growth and development of the cluster.
The primary objectives of the association are:
- To represent opinions of the rice millers, farmers and traders of the cluster
- To play an active role in framing policies and trading measures for the benefit of the cluster as a whole
- To undertake necessary action to encourage advanced technology and value added services in rice milling within the cluster
- To be a reliable information and data center on rice milling, trading and exports at regional, national and international levels
- To promote a unified network among members
- To promote rice exports business.
- To strengthen friendship and to exchange knowledge and information among members.
- To facilitate and conduct seminars, lectures, industrial visits, successful cluster visits, etc. for the benefit of cluster members.
- To guide and facilitate the SPV-Bhandara District Rice Millers Cluster Pvt. Ltd. in promotion and development of cluster
Currently BDRIA has also undertaken to prepare Diagnostic Study of the Cluster and submit the report to Cluster Development Coordination Committee (CDCC). The CDCC, under the guidance of GM, DIC-Bhandara (Chairman, CDCC) has conducted deliberations with millers, various stakeholders and experts in order to understand critical gaps and their solutions.
